Identity documents are required for KYC verification. The accepted document types and requirements vary by country. Use the Identity Documents reference to determine which documents are accepted for each country and their required subtypes.
Notarized copies of identity documents are accepted. Documents issued in breakaway regions are not accepted by default.

Document Requirements

ID documents must contain:
  • Owner full name
  • Date of birth
  • Photo
  • Signature (if applicable)
  • Document number
  • Validity data (issue date or validity period)

Photo Requirements

The ID document photo must meet the following requirements:
  • Original photo (static image) or scan — not a screenshot or photo uploaded from social networks
  • File format: JPG, JPEG, PNG, PDF, or HEIC
  • Both sides required if the document has data on front and back
  • File size: No less than 100 KB or 300 DPI
  • Color photo
  • All information must be readable
  • All corners of the document visible — no foreign objects or graphic elements
  • Not edited with any software or converted to PDF
  • Physical document (digital documents are not accepted in most cases)
